Immaturity

I’m real displeased right now.  I’m displeased with the reactions people are having because of promotions.

Now before you say, “Oh Tomtwelve, shut up, this is easy for you to say, because you actually got a promo!” hear my words.  First of all, I don’t really even know if I ever got a promo while Boomer was leader.  And I only complained when I was demoted, and on the last promotion day that Boomer had.  And he didn’t promote me.  So throughout Boomer’s time, I was basically always a Lt. General.  I say this because I know how to act when you aren’t promoted.  There may be a reason, but if there’s not, you go and complain.  Now secondly, I only got promoted this time because I sent a complaint.  A complaint that was long and well written.  Not unlike every post I’ve ever written. XD Just kidding, I’ve written some short and cruddy posts, too.  (Not on this dang site!, fool!)  So that actually worked this time.

Well, just now people were making tirades on chat.  And not the people who usually make tirades.  Some people who I had thought could act mature when they didn’t get promoted were making these.  Now don’t get me wrong, these speeches weren’t all like the standard noob ones (OK IM QUITTING ACP CAUSE THE LEADERS NEVER NOTICE ME OR CAR ABOUT ME AND IM ALWYS—and blah blah blah) although I suppose they contained similar ideas.  Maybe they were noob ones, translated into complex language.  Heh heh.

Well here’s 5 angry statements in response to their angry statements:

1. What???  Just because you don’t get promoted ONCE OUT OF EVERY FREAKING TIME, is that enough to go all crazy on us??
2. No need to complain about it on chat.  What you should do is comment on that promotions page and hope for the best.
3. What more are you going to gain if you get from Major General to Lt. General???  Do you think that lower ranking people will respect you more?  Do you think that higher ranking people will respect you more??
4. You can’t please everyone.
5. Life isn’t fair, so grow up.

I know, I know, those were harsh, and some might be offended by them.  But seriously, we can’t have soldiers quitting just because their works go by unnoticed.  That’s quite selfish of whoever quits.  I’m sorry to those offended, but really, you have got to learn to deal with these minor setbacks.

Back in the old days, promotions were rare.  And somehow, soldiers were very happy.  What gave them this happiness?  It had to be the joys of defeating enemies, or just fighting battles in the first place.  One more reason to bring back war to CP armies.  Seriously, we need them back, so we can find out who REALLY deserves a promotion.  Don’t forget my post on George Mcclelan.  You can have soldiers who are trained very well…but if they never see combat, what is the dang point?

Oh yeah.  I’m on fire now.  All right.
